The library offers a variety of programs for children ages birth to 6th grade. There are several events and programs that run throughout the year.
For ages Birth-5 years old and their caregivers, every Wednesday at 10 A.M. This time of Reading and Activities is sure to instill a love of creativity, and education, in caregivers and their children; while still having fun! Children and caregivers will enjoy each Story Time as they listen to books and sing songs. Plus each Story Time includes a fun activity like painting and coloring. The interactive activities correspond with the books and together they ensure children will develop a sense of creativity and imagination; and also a love for learning and education that will serve them in the future. Bored on a Friday? Not with Friday Program! Friday Programs offer a fun time for students who are in Elementary, K-6th Grade. Each Friday Program consist of reading a book(s), a various fun activity, a movie, and a great snack. Every Friday Program has a theme, such as, Super Heroes or Legos. The theme will be reflected throughout the program. Friday Program starts at 9:00 AM and ends at Noon on every first and third Friday of the month.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten Initiative
The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Initiative is a great and fun way to start your child on the bright path of education. With no set start date, you can join this great program at any time! The Goal is simple, read a thousand books to your child before they enter kindergarten.
