Eek! It's already Wednesday again...watcha reading?
I was busy working around the house this weekend so I had a good weekend of "reading" (I listen to a lot). I finished the 4th book in the Ransom Canyon (on Netflix) series - it's an easy series to listen to with just enough romance and always a little mystery. I finished "The Let Them Theory." Didn't realize the mixed reviews...but I found it to be very good. If anyone reads it, would love to discuss. I almost done with "The Perfect Son" by Freida McFadden. I just got to the plot twist. So far I have loved anything put out by McFadden. Not a lot of fluff to her books but always a little surprise. Anyone agree? Tonight I will start "The Seven Year Slip" - it has been recommended several times and I am exited to try it out.

Look at the smiles on these happy readers! Six lucky kids were recipients of the grand prize drawings, as part of the Summer Reading Challenge. All kids who participated were given local gift cards for reaching leveled milestones.
In the Birth to 5 reading challenge, 63% of those who registered completed the 50 book challenge. In the Age 6-12 reading challenge, 53% of registered readers completed the 500-
minute book challenge.

We'd like to give a shout to Senior and SAFE Student Board Member, AJ Rivas, for showcasing SAFE at the Hamilton County Fair last week. AJ received Grand Champion on his project presentation sharing his involvement and commitment to the SAFE Program - a peer to peer high school organization that promotes safe driving to teens.
