About Us

Hamilton County Library is located in Syracuse, Kansas, in Southwest Kansas, serving a community with a population just over 2,500.

The library offers a range of resources and services to the community. It has a unique relationship with the local school district, providing library services to PreK-12 students. Traditional library programs are offered, including Wednesday Story Time and a Summer Library Program.

Library staff enjoys the opportunity to assist readers of all ages. Check out our diverse collections including: Children, Juvenile, Young Adult, Adult, and Spanish. The library also offers Blu-rays DVDs, and Audio Books. Interlibrary loan is available for free for any materials not offered by the library.

Connectivity is important. The library has 6 patron computers and 20 laptops for patron use. For those that need wireless access on the go, the library has 25 hotspot devices. Have your own device? Connect to the library’s wireless signal inside, or outside, the library.
